Believe truth!

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

-Hebrews 4:12, NLT

Do not get your beliefs from your cheater!

They are liars. Plus, their lies are designed for their own (short-term) benefit. It is no good trusting such an unreliable and suspect source.

When going through a divorce from a cheater, it is important to pay attention to your beliefs.

Does this belief give me hope and life?

Is this belief condemning and shaming?

Does this belief align with what God says about me–i.e. use the “sword” to discern?

Some of the longest lasting damage from cheaters come from the destructive beliefs their words and actions implanted in us. We need to take responsibility for our beliefs and start weeding out the bad ones!

No matter what your cheater says, you are GOLD! God chose you (see John 15:16). And he gave his own blood for you (see John 3:16).
