This is such a pathetic cop out to the real problems a couple faces when infidelity has occurred. The problems are much deeper than “communication issues.”
Adultery is sin. So, it is a sin, not a communication problem.
This is a vital thing to note. If you diagnose the problem wrong, then the remedy will be wrong, too.
The remedy for sin is repentance. Cheaters need to repent.
“Saving” the marriage is not for the helper to decide about but rather the faithful spouse’s decision as they bear the cost both ways.
