Creature Reminders

29 What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.

-Matthew 10:29, NLT

Recently, one of my dear parrot buddies ended up getting injured. We had to rush him an hour North to an emergency Veterinarian visit. Fortunately, he seems like he will pull through just fine.

We care about our pets, our creatures.

Yet, I think we may fail to see that God cares for us FAR MORE than we can for any dear animal in our lives!

It is tempting to allow the pain of the moment–or the season–to tell us that God does not care. We may even question what God is doing in our lives as they fall apart.

However, I do not believe our experience of pain means God loves us less.

In fact, when I was in the depths of my painful season, it was this belief in God that carried me through it. I refused–and refuse–to worship a god who does not care about my pain.

Thankfully, God DOES care about my (and your) pain.

He is a “good bet.” I encourage you not to despair. Look to the pets in your lives and remember that God loves you even more than you love your furry (or feathered) friend!
