Marshalling Against You

Some Cheaters plan out their exit with great forethought. They take advantage of extended family time–like over Thanksgiving holiday–to prepare family to be sympathetic to them during the discard. In other words, they set up the narrative so that they are caste as the marriage victim.

This is far from loving one’s spouse well!

Even more twisted is how some Cheaters might even try to triangulate YOUR family against you! Behind your back, they may say all sort of negative and twisted things to gain sympathy and turn your family against you. This is especially wicked in my opinion.

Now, this marshalling of people against you may not be presented as such in the moment. They might call it trying to “fix” your marriage. How could you be against them getting much needed support?!

The reality is they are poisoning the well against you, though.

The damage Cheaters do is vast! They do not just discard their spouse; rather, they often damage the whole family and “friend” circles. That is part of the major losses faithful spouses experience.
