Precious Life

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

-Psalm 139:14, KJV

Life is precious.*

What we do with ours matters.

Recently, this truth has been driven home to me both in my private and in my professional life as I encounter people dealing with bleak, health prognoses.

Cancer does not discriminate. It goes for the young and the old.

Life is far from fair.

We can focus on this fact and get bitter over our powerlessness to change this.

OR

We can take the gift of life and use it better this world: Create beauty. Speak kindly and try to convey a love that we want our loved ones never to forget.

I firmly believe life will get better.

Now, I have no idea when that will be for you. It took a while for me. Sometimes the pain felt eternal. But it got MUCH, MUCH better for me in time!

I have found as I bet on God that God honored that faithfulness.
