The Discard Narrative

Cheaters are adept at crafting narratives to suit their nefarious purposes. They tell others and themselves all sort of wicked things about their faithful spouse while trying to keep their mark–i.e. the faithful spouse–off the scent of their infidelities.

When faced with counterfactual information, they will dismiss those facts about their faithful partner to paint them in the worse light. The point is not truth and reality. Rather it is to serve their “Discard Narrative.”

They want us–faithful spouses–to look bad so that they don’t.

In other words, they have an agenda when it comes to talking about the marriage narrative. Their perspective cannot be trusted! So, don’t!!

Do not let their distorted, twisted story define you! Choose not to believe their lies!!

I know it is easier said than done. One does not just turn off believing one’s spouse over night. It is hard to accept the loss of such an important person’s support–if it ever was there once.

Yet it is critical to keep in mind their lack of objectivity and how their narrative is likely HIGHLY biased against you! You can choose to disbelief their Discard Narrative about you.
