Happy Valentine’s Day to those who celebrate!
This is one holiday that is tricky for faithful spouses. It is one that can be ruined by cheaters and their cruelty. Don’t let them.
Remember:
Love is not the enemy!
It does exist and is more than lust. Love exists that carries people through difficult times. I am reminded of couples I’ve seen who stood by each other for decades faithfully to the very end. That is love, and it is beautiful.
While sad that we no longer (if ever) have that with our cheater, that does not mean we cannot have true love ever. That is the hope that divorce creates as it opens the door to a future with such love from another individual.
Plus, you can still have the unconditional love of your pet. That’s pretty good, in my opinion. It helped me through some dark days in my divorce.
