Cheaters are “good” at putting together a list of things that they do not like about their spouse.

They are doing this to “justify” their infidelity and their abandonment of the marriage. The thought is such a list meant that they were allowed to go outside of marriage for their “unmet needs.”

The reality is faithful spouses could make such a list, too.

Faithful spouses generally do not make such a list because they are committed to the marriage. This manifests as people who are not fault-finding sort of people. We understand that just undermines the marriage to which we committed ourselves in good faith.

Even though, we do not usually make such lists. That does not mean cheaters, prior to the affair, were fault-free, though.

We could make our own list. However, we are generally more gracious than the cheaters we married. The absence of such a list does not equate to the cheaters being angels prior to the cheating.
