Another birthday! Mine.

Today is my birthday!

I am so grateful that I did not give into the despair during the darkest season of my life nearly a decade ago. Each day, this one especially, is a precious gift.

These days I am exploring a new-ish hobby: equipped bench press.

After I finish up with this post, I am going to get ready and head into the gym to test my strength on the bench press. The new-ish part of this hobby is the addition of gear into my lifting. This has allowed me to lift weights I never would have dreamed possible in my teens.

Back when I was roughly about twenty years younger than I am today, I thought 405 lbs bench press was astronomical. Mythically strong dudes lift that much. That is what I thought.

Today, I go for a new, equipped personal record. My current personal bench record is 625 pounds. I have been training for this for months; and, my trainer has spotters ready for this exciting lift.

These are weights are higher than what I squatted or deadlifted back in my undergraduate days playing collegiate football. The human body is just amazing!

Well, it is time to sign off for the day… off to get coffee, lift da weights, and then it is a celebratory dinner with Munchkin and Mrs!

  1. Happy Birthday, DM!

I’m equally thankful you didn’t give into despair 10 years ago because the silver-lining that rose from the ashes was this website. You’re doing so much good for the brokenhearted and downtrodden that have walked with bleeding footsteps through relationships impacted by infidelity. Even more so, you’re shining a spotlight on correct biblical wisdom from the Bible. There is a giant hole in our world that voices like yours fill by offering promise and healing. All the intellectual chatter on matters of infidelity are just that – views from worldly theories at this stage in time. Yours, however; are tried and tested through centuries and remain still the spiritual truth that regenerates and redeems man.

Enjoy a wonderful birthday! Thanks for your inspiration, encouragement and teachings.
