Demons are “believers,” too!

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder…

You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.

-James 2:19, 24, NIV

What if my Cheater claims to be a Christian?!

They can claim that identity all they want. Demons believe in God, too. That does not make demons Christians.

To have a living faith, deeds must follow the faith in God. These deeds include obeying the Ten Commandments (and/or true repentance when one fails.)

Sadly, the same cheaters claiming to be Christian fail on the actions follow through.

At best, they have a dead faith.

They are fooling themselves to think “belief” is enough. As I hinted at above and as I’ve heard it said, “Satan is a believer, too.”

The question is whether that belief leads to righteous living or not. It does not in the case of the demons and Satan, of course. Nor will it for those who live for themselves and the kingdom of this world.

For those who operate in God’s Kingdom, the belief in God leads to righteous living as we are transformed by our true King, Jesus.
