God’s problem waiting on God’s solution!

For hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you alone, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!”

-Hebrews 13:5b, TPT

A temptation when facing difficult circumstances is to believe we are on our own.

It may feel that way, for sure. I know I felt it. The abandonment feelings are real. However, I have absolutely no doubt God was there even and especially during those times I felt the most abandoned.

God does not let go of us, His children!

Recently, God has whispered into my heart words He has used in the past. They are words influenced by a wonderful pastor named Steve Backlund.

These words are reminders to choose faith and hope:

“Stop worrying about the next bad thing. Instead, David, look ahead with hopeful optimism and excitement to see how I am going to resolve the situation for My glory!”

We can get caught up focusing on the awful unknown to the point that we have no room for hope and peace. This is an unholy, fearful position. God has something better for you and me.

God wants us to remember that He remains sovereign over the cheater (or whoever is tormenting us.) Ultimately, He can take the situation and turn it for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28).

My exhortation to you is to turn your energies from spinning around thinking how you–and you alone–will deal with that other person. Instead, I encourage you to start praying in faith and putting the situation on the shoulders of Whom it belongs.

Trust me, this is freeing and a fountain of peace.
