Recently, Christianity Today launched a fascinating podcast about the rise and demise of Mars Hill Church in Seattle. It is entitled, “The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill.”
This is a very well researched and balanced take on this megachurch’s rise and implosion.
If you have followed this blog for any time, you will be aware that Mars Hill Church impacted my story–mostly, in a traumatic way. So, this podcast is both intriguing to me as well as somewhat re-traumatizing. I remember many of the themes and stories shared in podcast from my connection with this now-defunct church.
I hope the podcast achieves its purpose of teaching the broader church how to avoid the many mistakes and wrongdoings in the Mars Hill Church story.
