Masterful Manipulators

It helps to recognize our cheaters may be masterful manipulators. These are individuals who know how to play people to do what they want them to do.

Some cheaters can even confess to cheating to a pastor and counselor and then somehow make the session about how bad their spouse is!

Obviously, you need to find a new counselor or pastor if they allow this to happen. However, the point is that the cheater is very gifted in turning the situation to their advantage.

So, do not be so hard on yourself for feeling like you were stuck too long with them and didn’t stand up sooner.

Professionals have failed to call them on their sins and misbehavior, and they are trained for this. You aren’t. So, give yourself some grace. Now, you know better and can do better.
