23 For this command is a lamp,
this teaching is a light,
and correction and instruction
are the way to life,
24 keeping you from your neighbor’s wife,
from the smooth talk of a wayward woman.-Proverbs 6:23-24, NIV
I was furious!
My divorce attorney advised me to NOT do anything rash when I revealed I had uncovered the Other Man (OM). In the moment, I felt like showing up at the OM’s apartment and giving him a beating. However, I cooled off and realized he was not worth it.
Later I remember talking with my therapist revealing I knew my (now) ex-spouse was cheating on me. He asked me if I felt like calling and talking to the OM. I didn’t.
My (now) ex-spouse was the problem. She was the one who had vowed fidelity to me, not the OM.
If it wasn’t this particular OM, it would have been another young fool. He just happened to be a convenient and present individual available to stroke her ego.
I wasn’t going to fight over her with a young fool.
This is precisely what Cheaters want–i.e. they want us to fight over them as if they are a prize. Do not give them the satisfaction!
