No Circle Backs

Fools have no interest in understanding;
    they only want to air their own opinions.

-Proverbs 18:2, NLT

No Circle Backs

People who were hard on me did not apologize once it became known that my (now) ex-wife was cheating. They did not circle back and acknowledge that their perspective might have been overly harsh and colored by someone trying to justify her sins.

My point: Do not expect people to circle back once the cheating is exposed.

If they took your Cheater’s side before learning about the cheating, they will probably stay on your Cheater’s side. Now, I am willing for there to be some who have enough character to admit error. However, that would take some real humility.

Humility is in short supply among Cheaters and their supporters. That’s the primary problem–namely, arrogance.

Losing these “friends” is addition by subtraction as the saying goes. Yet it is still a loss as many of us are surprised by who betrays us that way. We hope–as I did–that they would circle back after the facts were known.

It becomes another loss and wrong we have to had to God for Him to handle. I am glad I do not have to hold them forever. And it is okay to be sad about the loss as well. That just makes us human.
