Cheater bragging

Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
    or stand around with sinners,
    or join in with mockers.

-Psalm 1:1, NLT

A couple of days ago, I ran across a short video where a young woman was talking about cheating. She claimed that women don’t cheat on good men.

This claim she followed up with her reasoning on why women cheat on men. Her thoughts were about how deficient a man must be in order for that woman to cheat upon him.

Then the other shoe dropped…

She had a history of cheating and started bragging about it, essentially.

I think a video like this would have been triggering to me early in my newly divorced state. Now, I just consider the source and think: “It figures.”

Cheaters really suck at looking in the mirror. That video highlights this problem. Sadly, she will be doomed to repeat her pattern of abuse–since cheating IS abuse–until she grows up and looks herself in the mirror.

That isn’t to say men who’ve been cheated upon are perfect. Being cheated on doesn’t suggest this, though, any more than getting robbed reveals that the victim is a bad person.

Cheating says nothing about the faithful partner’s character. But it DOES speak volumes about the cheater’s character–or lack thereof!
