Crying for deliverance

But I am poor and needy;
Make haste to me, O God!
You are my help and my deliverer;
Lord, do not delay.

-Psalm 70:5, NKJV

You take a real pounding when you are the faithful spouse. That pounding of losses feels relentless in the beginning of the discoveries.

A major part of why we often stay stuck wanting to remain with the cheater is a desire to stop the “body blows” of loss.

We can relate to the Psalmist calling on God for deliverance. I know I could. However, my experience is God does not work as I want(ed) Him to work, thankfully.

His plans are higher than our plans.

I am grateful God did not give me what I wanted back then. Instead, He gave me something so much better. The life I have I would not trade for that dumpster fire situation back then.

Trust God. He is a good bet!
