Love and Parrots

When I was going through the tough anniversary yesterday, I was comforted by thinking about all I have gained post-divorce.

In particular, I remembered that I would not have become a parrot owner without my divorce. That means I never would have met my special buddy nor all our other flock members if I had remained with my cheater.

So many joys come from having these pets. They are rescue birds that shower us with their love and antics. These creatures help make our house, a home.

The only reason I am a parrot owner is Mrs. DM’s influence on me. She was the one who started going to the rescue where later we picked up our first birds. It’s because Mrs. DM is in my life that these wonderful creatures are as well.

Sure, I lost dreams with my first marriage ending. I also gained a whole lot with the new life I built. For that, I thank God and am especially grateful for our feathered friends.
