Day and night I have only tears for food,
while my enemies continually taunt me, saying,
“Where is this God of yours?”-Psalm 42:3, NLT
Hurts SOOO much!
It is hard to overstate how awful it feels to discover your spouse has been unfaithful to you. The pain is literally debilitating. Basic life functions like eating are hard to remember to do.
Yet this pain is often rug swept away in the church.
It is not talked about when talking about adultery. The harmed spouse–i.e. the faithful spouse–is almost always never seen. Their pain is certainly NOT acknowledged!
This needs to change.
Seeing the devastation might serve as a warning to others to think twice before taking steps down that broad path of destruction. Plus, acknowledging the pain would be a way to show support for the faithful spouse, which is much needed at such a vulnerable time.

A silver lining is someone can lose quite a bit of weight on the infidelity diet. That is, of course, if you have the weight to lose. I really didn’t, so I started looking like fairly gaunt and skinny. People wondered if I was sick. Technically, I was.
