It burns, burns!

Here is another thing you do. You cover the Lord’s altar with tears, weeping and groaning because he pays no attention to your offerings and doesn’t accept them with pleasure.

-Malachi 2:13, NLT

It burns, burns!

Such is the response of some cheaters when they are confronted with Scripture calling out their sin. They behave like the fictional witch melting as water is sprinkled upon them.

This cheater will do everything to avoid facing up to the truth of their treachery. They want to be free of the pain.

So, they call the faithful spouse the abuser for bringing up the unhappy Scripture calling out their sin.

This is all about avoiding accountability. They love their sin more than the Savior. This is true even if their words say otherwise. Actions shout this truth.

Sadly, at some point, some will succeed in silencing their own conscience. This is a bad day for them spiritually even if they think otherwise. Such discontent was a gift from God; but He also allows people to reject Him, too.

It burns, burns! Maybe you should put out the fire you yourself made, Cheater?
