On fools and foolish arguments.

Don’t answer the foolish arguments of fools, or you will become as foolish as they are.

-Proverbs 26:4, NLT

If someone is not willing to listen, save your breath. They have made up their mind, and you are best moving on.

You do not need to stick your head into that mind-blender. Move on. Let them live in their fantasy world built on lies and misconceptions.

You live in reality and truth.

I recommend this both in dealing with an unrepentant cheater as well as those Christians who are blind to their atrociously biased and unbiblical stance against divorcing cheaters.

God instructs us in Proverbs 26:4 not to argue with fools.

We, faithful spouses, need to get better at following this instruction. The reward is not getting sucked into their foolishness and the emotional chaos that comes with that.

Just. Don’t. Engage.
