Cheaters weaponizing “friends”

For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

-Psalm 31:13, KJV

Some cheaters are especially skillful manipulators.

They can keep up a double life for months if not years! While living these lies, they suck others into their deceptions.

“Friends” are turned into tools to further harm the faithful spouse. The cheater convinces these “friends” that the marriage problems would be solved as soon as the faithful spouse gets his or her “act together.”

The social destruction of one cheater is truly astounding. Adultery is far from a private sin only involving the violated marriage couple. It has far reaching destructive properties in the community.

Even after exposing the cheater, some “friends” may refuse to accept the fact of being used and duped by the cheater.

Pro-Tip:

Such individuals are not friends if they refuse to face this uncomfortable truth and offer an apology to the faithful spouse. The wise faithful spouse will cut them out of their life.

This is just one sick and nasty dynamic of dealing with a cheater. They use people.

Maintaining their status and image is more important to the cheater than the well-being of others–including “friends” and especially including their spouse. That is the sad reality.

Do not be shocked to learn your cheater weaponized “friendships” against you. It really is rather common cheater behavior.
