Promises from Isaiah 54

“Fear not; you will no longer live in shame.
Don’t be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you.”

-Isaiah 54:4a, NLT

Can we claim the promises in this chapter even though they are about Israel?

Yes.

These are words to God’s people. We are God’s people as children of God (see I John 3:1).

However, like Israel, we may not see their fulfillment in this life. It may be an end times thing. God will set things right, though. God is just and righteous.

That said, I believe God’s word is true, and this promise in Isaiah may include in the present age. God also teaches us that we reap what we sow (see Galatians 6:7).

The wicked will reap death from their wicked deeds. While the righteous, they will–one day–reap a harvest of life. And sometimes the harvest comes in our own lifetimes.

I can testify to how God did transform my life from ashes into rich blessings. He truly did change my shame into glory for His glory!
