She would never… but she did.
No one enjoys learning that they were wrong about someone in a horrible way. The sick feeling of learning that you’ve been played is not one I enjoy, at least.
So many of us, faithful spouses, are all too familiar with that feeling, though.
We were SO trusting. The thought that our spouse would cheat never was a worry. We thought we could trust them out with their “friends.”
Then we learned we had been played…
We had thought she would never, but then we saw she did.
It stinks to have to unlearn being so trusting. The hard work of acknowledging the truth and seeing who we really married is difficult. Yet this is critical work for our healing and growth.
