Singing In Faith

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” – John 10:27-29, KJV

But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, “Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour….” – Isaiah 43:1-3a, KJV

I have posted the above verses that remind us to whom we belong. It is easy to feel abandoned when passing through life’s turbulent rivers and blistering fires. You might not feel it. But that does not mean these verses are false. It just means the fire is especially intense and the waves are especially punishing.

But you will not be swept under.

You won’t be set ablaze.

God promises this to His children:

He will not let you go.

He called you by name.

You are His precious, precious child.
