So much GOOD life ahead of you!
This past week I had the privilege to enjoy time up at a cabin on a lake in Northern Minnesota. It is always a wonderful time to unwind and reconnect with family on my wife’s side. The picture above was taken on one evening when the sunset was especially spectacular.
None of this time would have been possible if I had remained married to my cheater. I would have missed out on SO much good life!
I would have missed out on all of this–not just this year but over a decade of memories watching Munchkin grow up–as well if I had given into despair and unl1v3d myself.*
So glad I chose life!
Afterwards, I had the joy of collecting our flock from the boarding organization. They had been mostly good. I am grateful for each of our birds.
Each one of our birds have very distinct personalities and preferences. For some reason, I am the person of preference for three of the five (good taste, maybe?). These are another set of joys I would have missed out upon if I had remained married to a cheater. Mrs. DM brought a love for birds to our relationship.
One of the joys of owning parrots is how social and smart these creatures are. They REALLY want to be with their human as we are part of their flock. One of our birds learned how to climb all the way from the basement to our upper floor on the first day with us. He wanted to be with his humans!
All of these are small tastes of things I would have missed out upon if I had remained married to my cheater. I share this as an encouragement to those of you in the thick of it now.
It gets better!
Life without a cheater is so much better than living with someone who abuses you and treats your heart with contempt. You were made for better. Go get it!
